UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES


The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Warren Wolf Quartet

Ford Center: Jazz vibraphonist, Warren Wolf will perform with his quartet on Nov. 13.

At the age of three years old, Warren Wolf began training on the Vibraphone/Marimba, Drums, and Piano. Warren later attended the Peabody Prepatory School and Baltimore School for the Arts studying classical, jazz and ragtime music. After graduating from Baltimore School for the Arts, Warren enrolled at the Berklee College of Music in Boston,MA. At Berklee College of Music, Warren studied with Carribean Jazz Vibraphonist Dave Samuels and with vibist Ed Saindon. During his time at Berklee, Warren began to explore deeper into jazz.

Since graduating from Berklee, Wolf has taken the jazz world by storm, first as a sideman in Christian McBride’s Inside Straight quintet, then with his self-titled debut in 2011 and with Wolfgang in 2013. Musicians that Warren has played with or recorded with are Wynton Marsalis and The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Jeremy Pelt and “Creation”, Cyrus Chestnut, Kevin Eubanks, Wycliffe Gordon, Esperanza Spaulding and many others.
