UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

About Staff Appreciation Week

Start marking your calendars now to attend the annual University of Mississippi Staff Appreciation Week activities with your coworkers and friends across campus, Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 17, 2024. We are expecting a higher than usual turnout, as the regional campuses will be in Oxford at an Outreach campus event during Staff Appreciation Week.

 

At the Staff Awards Ceremony on Friday May 17, at 10:30 a.m., several awards will be presented – the annual Overall Outstanding Staff Member of the Year award, individual awards for EEO categories 1 and 3-7, the Daniel W. Jones Outstanding Team Service Award, and tournament awards.  Staff members will receive recognition for years of service to the University.

Staff Awards Ceremony

Congratulations to our UM staff celebrating 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30+ years of service!  UM staff members are asked to be present at the Staff Awards Ceremony, May 17, 2024, 10:30a.m. in the Grove near the Stage.

 

  1. UM Staff members celebrating 5, 10, 15 years of service will be asked to stand as names are called during the Staff Awards Ceremony. Pin and Certificate pick-up times are below:

Staff Appreciation T-Shirt, Certificate, and Pin Pickup
Monday-Friday (week of May 13-17)
10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Ole Miss Student Union – Front Door Entrance

 

  1.  UM Staff members celebrating 20 years of service will be asked to come to the stage to receive certificates, pins, and gifts as names are called.

**UM Staff members celebrating 20+ years of service will have reserved seating.

 

 

UM Staff Luncheon

Your staff ID is required to attend and eat at the luncheon on Friday, May 17th. immediately following the Awards Ceremony (the ceremony begins at 10:30am). There will not be physical 'meal tickets,' however, the meal is free to all staff in EEO Categories 1 and 3-7 (including all regional campuses!). Using your ID at this luncheon is a means of verification of 'Staff employee' status and does NOT use any of the meals you may pay for through Aramark at the ID Center. 

 

 

T-shirt Distribution

UM Staff Appreciation shirts will be distributed during Staff Appreciation week.    The schedule is below:
