Join us for the 2018 Diversity Conference, presented by the Department of Social Work at the University of Mississippi!
When: February 1, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Where: Jackson Avenue Center, Room H02.
Who: Interested community members and students from any major are welcomed to attend.
Programming will include:
- Jennifer Stollman, UM academic director for the William Winter Institute for Racial Reconciliation, keynote speaker: “Using truth, bravery and compassion to heal the world”
- Reginald Virgil, BSW, University of Southern Mississippi: “Keep Calm and Discuss Racism”
- Na Youn Lee, UM assistant professor of social work: Cultural Humility
- Group presentation by the Rust College Department of Social Work
Lunch will be provided, and all social work students are strongly encouraged to attend.
