UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Lunar Eclipse

Astronomy Open House: Open viewing of the lunar eclipse (1/20, Sunday, 10:30 pm to midnight) and an introductory presentation at 9:00 pm in Kennon Observatory.

Open house in kennon observatory on Jan. 20, Sunday.

Introductory presentation by Dr. james Hill starts at 9:00 pm.

Total lunar eclipse starts at 10:30 pm and lasts about an hour.

During the eclipse a few other objects may also be viewed with our telescopes.

The event is free, families are welcome.

Weather warning: the forecast is cold, viewing is outside, dress warm. In case it is cloudy, we'll have to cancel.
