UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Steel Drum and Marimba Clinic and Performance

Invitation: The Britain Moore Duo will discuss and perform on the instruments, and demonstrate how electric pickups are evolving the form.

Whether you are an experienced performer or an interested audience member, this clinic and demonstration on steel drum and marimba by nationally known percussionists Dan Moore and Matt Britain will enthrall.  

Not only are Britain and Moore recognized internationally for their high quality as players and teachers/professors, they are experimenting with pickups and technology to move the field forward -- and this will be part of the demonstration, as well.

Join us for an upbeat 90 minutes Wednesday afternoon in the Band Hall, located on the east end of the Music Building, on University Avenue.  Easy parking between the Music Building and Memory House.
