Longtime collaborators Tracelyn Gesteland (mezzo-soprano) and Amanda Johnston (piano) present Mots d’amour, or “Words of Love.”
Gesteland and Johnston will perform 19th, 20th, and 21st century works by Guastavino, Chaminade, Viardot, Heggie, and Bucchino. From tender to mournful, from traditional to contemporary, from songs of lost love to unexpected odes to First Ladies (yes!) — this program explores the wide variety of emotion, subject, and nuance we might imagine when we think of love in its broadest sense.
Monday 9 September at 7:30 pm in Nutt Auditorium.
Admission is free, and all are welcome.
Eligible for Mus 100 and Mus 103 credit.
