Mercury passes in front of the Sun on Nov. 11. The event takes a few hours in the morning. Mercury appears as a small dot ‘inside’ the disk of the Sun, visible through telescopes only. Such transit happes once in decade, on the average; next one is Nov. 13, 2032.
We are offering a view with our telescopes in Kennon Observatory. The event is from 9:00 - 12:00 PM. In case the sky is cloudy, no observations can be made and the event will have to be canceled.
Admission is free, families and children are welcome.
