UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Join us for the premiere of NEAR/FAR, an original work of mask theatre developed and produced remotely by the Department of Theatre & Film.

NEAR/FAR features a group of naive creatures, vague in appearance but explicit in personality, who must navigate the strange new world in which they find themselves. Able to interact only through video screens, together they explore this new place and the artifacts its previous inhabitants left behind.

The production will premiere on Friday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. on our Facebook page and YouTube channel; watch parties will allow audiences to interact while enjoying the show together. Following the premiere on Friday evening, the production will remain accessible through the end of the weekend.
