UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES


The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

The LOU Symphony Orchestra presents a free, online concert Tuesday, December 1st at 7:30 pm. Recorded in late October using safety protocols like masks and distancing, the concert features

  • two works by noted composer Jerod Impichchaachaaha' Tate -- one for full symphony and one for string quartet -- with video introductions from the composer himself
  • a rare duet for cello and bass; a trio for flute, oboe, and clarinet; and a flute quartet
  • accomplished musicians from Oxford and Tupelo high school orchestras joining the performance of Tate's symphonic work, Chokfi'
