UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Wilderness First Aid Certification

Ole Miss Outdoors: SOLO's Hybrid Wilderness First Aid course is a one day course that covers the same content as the traditional Wilderness First Aid.

Wilderness First Aid (Hybrid) Certification
$100 Deposit; Total Cost is $300 | Register HERE

SOLO’s Hybrid Wilderness First Aid course covers the same content as the traditional Wilderness First Aid. The difference between the programs is that the hybrid course consists of 8 hours of pre-course online learning and only one, in-person practical day. The Hybrid WFA is 16 hours long (8 hours online and 8 hours in person) and focuses on the basic skills of: Response and Assessment, Musculoskeletal Injuries, Environmental Emergencies, Survival Skills, Soft Tissue Injuries, and Medical Emergencies. CPR is also included in the cost, but is optional, and will be held the evening of December 17.
