As part of its efforts to honor distinguished alumnus James Meredith and the 60th anniversary of the integration of the University of Mississippi, the university will host a signature event. Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend “The Mission Continues: Building Upon the Legacy” event which will be held Wednesday, Sept. 28, 6:30–8:30 p.m. at The Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts.
While the event is free and open to the public, you must reserve a complimentary ticket by contacting umbo@olemiss.edu or 662-915-7411.
In addition to remarks by Mr. James Meredith, the event will feature a screening of a documentary by Dr. Judy Meredith and a series of special presentations honoring Mr. Meredith.
This event will be live-streamed and information for that option will be available on the 60th Anniversary website on Sept. 28. Parking will be available in The Gertrude C.
