Dear Mr. Meredith: Mapping Letters Supporting and Dissenting James Meredith's Integration of the University of Mississippi

Many of the letters James Meredith received from around the world supporting or opposing his attempts to integrate the University of Mississippi have been digitized and made available online on eGrove, the UM’s institutional repository. In this event, Adam Clemons and Abbie Norris-Davidson will demonstrate how they are using ArcGIS, a mapping/GIS program, to map out where these letters came from. Once completed, this digital scholarship project has the potential to illuminate the collection in new and interesting ways.
