This recital by UM Music faculty combines the old and the new. Christine Kralik, cello; Adrienne Park, piano; and Michael Rowlett, clarinet will present an evening of chamber works for this popular trio combination. The group will feature the lush romanticism of Johannes Brahms’s late composition for this trio and the jazz-inflected, energetic idiom of American composer Robert Muczynski’s Fantasy Trio. The program will also include the “Craftsbury Trio” by Gwyneth Walker, which references Appalachian folk styles and bird song, and Pascal Dusapin’s adventuresome “Ohé” for clarinet and cello. Available for Music 100 and Music 103 credit, free to the public.
