Students of the Oxford String Project and Lafayette Oxford University Youth Symphony Orchestra are hard at work preparing their final performance pieces for their end of semester performance on Saturday, December 7th at 2:00pm.

Participation for the Oxford String Project and LOU Youth Orchestra are offered through a collaboration with Ole Miss PreCollege Programs and The Music Department.

The Oxford String Project (OSP) aims to build basic musical skills for beginning musicians in grades 3 through 6 and The Lafayette Oxford University (LOU) Youth Symphony gives students the opportunity to pursue their musical talents at a higher level.  Open to musicians in grades 7-12, the LOU Youth Symphony holds both sectional rehearsals, for instrument specific instruction, and full rehearsals with the entire ensemble.
