Chair Seminar - Negotiations
Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (CST)
Location: Oxford Campus, Triplett Alumni Center (Butler Auditorium)
|Invitation: Department Chairs are invited to a seminar on issues that leaders should know about negotiations. See Details.|
Department Chairs deal with many complex and complicated issues on our campus. In addition to the management of physical and financial resources, they spend considerable time dealing with human resource management issues. We recognize that there would be benefits to strengthening our chairs’ network, offering opportunities for chairs to learn from each other, and offering seminars on topics of relevance to chairs. Our hope is that this forum will develop into a regularly scheduled series for chairs.
We will be hosting our first Chairs’ Seminar on Friday, March 8, 2013, in Butler Auditorium from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Our confirmed speaker is Mr. Joe McCarty (brief bio pasted below). Joe earned his baccalaureate degree in History from the University of Mississippi before going on to earn his law degree. He values his liberal arts degree and is looking forward to returning to his alma mater. His seminar will address issues that every leader should know about negotiations, particularly in the academic realm.
Please RSVP to Katherine Slone (firstname.lastname@example.org) by February 18.
