J. Bradley Baker has presented recitals throughout the United States and Canada with great success, his playing being described as “powerful” and “fresh.” An avid fan of contemporary music, he recently presented the world premiere of Amir Zaheri's "Prelude to the Holy Dark," a solo piano work that was commissioned of the composer. He will record this work for Naxos in August 2013. Brad is also working in collaboration with renowned composer C.P. First and members of the Chicago Contemporary Ensemble to produce a premiere recording of First's “Objects at Rest in Motion” for violin, flute, cello, and piano.

Brad has received degrees from North Dakota State University and Cleveland Institute of Music, and is now in the Doctor of Musical Arts program at University of Alabama. His primary teachers have been Sandra Siler, Robert Groves, Daniel Shapiro, and currently studies with Noel Engebretson. Brad has had additional lessons with Paul Schenly, Robert Roux, and harpsichordist Kenneth Cooper. He has been in master classes with Olga Kern, Alessio Bax, Dubravka Tomsic, and collaborative artist Warren Jones.
