The Division of Diversity and Community Engagement is pleased to announce the Dialogues on Diversity Series, a new initiative that aims to foster change through community discourse. The Division begins this series with the award-winning photographer, John Noltner, and his project "A Peace of My Mind", a multimedia arts project built around the simple question, "What does peace mean to you?" The project began as his effort to rediscover humanity in an increasingly polarized world.

There will be several opportunities for the university community to engage with Mr. Noltner during his campus visit, October 8-10, 2018.

Visit Us!

"A Peace of My Mind" encourages individuals to consider the humanity that connects us through a unique and interactive collection of portraits and personal stories to celebrate our shared experience. This exhibit will be featured on campus in the Bryant Hall Gallery on Monday, October 8th and Tuesday, October 9th from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Share Your Story!

UM students, faculty, and staff are invited to share your stories during brief interviews conducted by John Noltner. Participants will respond to "The UM I want to create is..." This opportunity to share your story will be available Tuesday, October 9th from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM in the Bryant Hall Gallery. Drop-ins are welcomed any time between 9:00 AM-5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 9th. Feel free to reserve your time slot by completing the Pre-Registration Form

NOTE: Participants who complete the brief interviews with John Noltner will be entered for a chance to win a pair of tickets in the Chancellor's Skybox for the Auburn University vs. University of Mississippi football game on October 20th.

Join Us!

The culminating event will be the "This Is UM" keynote address, presented by John Noltner. During the keynote address, Mr. Noltner will incorporate themes and share insights from the brief interviews. Please join us on Wednesday, October 10th from 6:30 PM-8:00 PM in Fulton Chapel. Immediately following the keynote address, guests will be invited to join us for a reception and final viewing of the "A Peace of My Mind" exhibit.

**Additional Dialogues on Diversity will be announced soon. We look forward to engaging with the campus community as we work to foster community change through building powerful relationships across difference.
