The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Divas, Outcasts & Fools: Opera & Musical Theatre Scenes

Invitation: Celebrate the diva, the outcast, and the fool in opera and musical theatre with styles ranging from the tragic to the raucous.

There's something for everyone when the Department of Music's Opera Theatre Ensemble presents its annual scenes program on Thursday, November 1 in Nutt Auditorium at 7:30 pm, with an encore performance Friday, November 2nd. The program includes both opera and musical theatre selections in styles ranging from formal to hip hop, depicting the tragic and the raucous.  Celebrate the diva, the outcast, and the fool in modern-day classics The Greatest Showman and The Hunchback of Notre Dame; in well-loved moments from Rigoletto, The Tales of Hoffmann, Macbeth, Harlequin, and Cendrillon; and in contemporary pieces Susannah and the hilarious Too Many Sopranos.  Supertitles are provided for any foreign language scenes.  Tickets are available at the UM Box Office:  $10 adult, $7 child/senior, and $5 for student with ID.
