Library Exhibition: 'Still Got the Blues: A Silver Anniversary Exhibition'
Event Description:
UM's Blues Archive, housed in the J.D. Williams Library, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. A public exhibition in Archives and Special Collections features material from many of the archived collections, including B.B. King, Sheldon Harris, Kenneth Goldstein, Trumpet Records, Living Blues magazine, Percy Mayfield and The Red Tops. Using portable audio/video players available onsite, visitors touring the elaborate display will be able to hear musical selections and view interviews with blues recording artists. Scheduled for a yearlong run, the exhibition is free and open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Displayed items will rotate throughout the year.
