UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Using AI Tools for Literature Searching and Literature Mapping

AI tools provide new ways for researchers to discover literature. Different tools allow you to quickly locate similar articles, visualize relationships between identified and unidentified articles, and summarize/extract content for review. AI tools also have flaws, potential biases, and gaps in content they search.

In this workshop, we will explore the capabilities of several tools (e.g., Research Rabbit and Elicit), discuss their limitations, and discuss the relationship between traditional literature discovery and AI-tool based discovery.

Part workshop, part discussion forum, come to this workshop to learn about AI tools and discuss them with your colleagues.
