The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.


'Succeed with Hearing Loss' Support Group Sessions

Invitation: Support group sessions are available for individuals with hearing loss and their significant others (partners, children, siblings).

Succeed with Hearing Loss

The Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders and the UM Speech and Hearing Clinic will be holding a series of support group sessions for individuals with hearing loss. Their significant others such as partners, children and siblings can also participate in these sessions.  

Examples of topics discussed during these group sessions include tips to improve communication, concerns with using hearing aids, handling difficult listening situations, emergency preparedness and self-advocacy.

During the Spring 2019 semester, the sessions will be held on March 8, March 22, April 12, April 26 and May 3 between 2:30 and 4:30 PM in the room NE1217 within the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders located on the South Oxford Campus at 2301 South Lamar, North Entrance, Suite 1200 Oxford, MS, 38655 . You need not have hearing aids to participate in these sessions, and the sessions are being offered free of charge.
