UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Part of the 45th Annual World Championship Old-Time Piano Playing Contest and Festival, the silent movie box lunch is an audience favorite.  Three classic comedy shorts, shown on the big screen, with live piano accompaniment -- a fun opportunity to experience silent movies like an audience from 100 years ago.

Award-winning pianist Adam Swanson performs on piano, bringing all his training, timing, and love of this classic movie genre.

Tickets are $20, which includes a box lunch.  Please purchase your ticket by Friday, May 24th at noon at oldtimepianocontest.com.  Limited tickets may be available at the door.  Email Ian Hominick at ihominic@olemiss.edu with any questions.

Come for the Silent Movie Box Lunch Saturday at 11:45, and stay for the preliminary round of competition from some of the country's finest old-time piano players, which will take place in Nutt Auditorium from 1:00-5:00.  Finals take place Sunday at 1:00.  See oldtimepianocontest.com for the full schedule of contests, events, parties, workshops, and tours.
