This is a free camp that will accompany the Art-er Limits Fringe Festival August 7 – 10, 2019. Participants in the camp will learn how to combine physical movement with traditional theatre to create a physical theatre work. Camp participants will learn about the history of enslaved peoples in the LOU community in the 1800s, and then use this information to create site-specific works in locations related to this history.
All ages are encouraged to sign up. No previous experience is required—just a desire to learn something new and participate in an exciting creative theatrical experience.
Camp sessions are as follows:
Wednesday August 7, 4:30-6:30pm
Thursday August 8, 4:30-6:30pm
Friday August 9, 4:30-6:30pm
Saturday August 10, 8:00-11:00am
Saturday August 10, 5:30-6:30 – Public Presentation
All sessions will take place on the campus of the University of Mississippi and will meet in Unversity Circle at the flagpole. Rain locations will be the Turner Center Dance Studio and the Powerhouse.
