UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

We are offering a view of the sky with our telescopes in Kennon Obseravatory on Sunday, July 22. This is an exceptional opportunity when all the bright planets are visible in the sky: Venus (sets early), Jupiter, Saturn and Mars (comes up late) are all up, in addition to the Moon.

The event is 8:30 to 10 pm. In case the sky is cloudy, no observation can be made and the event will have to be canceled.

Admission is free, families and children are welcome.
