UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

We are offering a view of the night sky with our telescopes in Kennon Observatory on Sunday, Mar. 1.

Venus is a bit more gibbous than half, sets after 7 pm; the Moon is great; Uranus is visible but tiny in the telescope. The double star Castor is an easy target.

The event is from 6:15 - 8:00 PM. In case the sky is cloudy, no observations can be made and the event will have to be canceled.

Admission is free, families and children are welcome.
