Everybody loves Lincoln…because who doesn’t love that guy? It’s the one thing Democrats & Republicans can definitely agree on! Missing from many political conversations these days is mutual respect, the chance to feel heard, and a real opportunity to understand different political perspectives, all while having a good time. We're creating a revolutionary movement using COURAGEOUS CONVERSATIONS that enable people to listen and participate in political dialogues that are respectful & lighthearted. We're going to bet on positive intentions to help manifest our founders' dreams of a more perfect union.

Join us for a special event featuring comedian Tehran Von Ghasri and engaging conversation around the issue of activism & authority. Whether you support Defunding the Police or believe in staunchly Defending the Blue, we'll spend the evening going deeper with each other and with the issues.

Comedian Tehran Von Ghasri is one of the hottest rising comedians on the Hollywood comedy scene.  With a diverse contrasting background of Black & Persian, Muslim & Jewish, hood & educated, Tehran brings a fresh unique perspective to comedy and humor.  His style has been compared to a mix of Dave Chapelle meets Maz Jobrani.  As seen on Comedy Central, HBO, and Fox find Tehran at his Laugh Factory residency every Monday and Thursday 9:45 pm, on his hit Comedy Store podcast Imperfect Gentlemen, or on social media @IAmTehran across the board.

This event is part of a multi-institutional collaborative effort among representatives from University of Mississippi, Mississippi State University, and Delta State University, along with the #ListenFirst Project. Event is free and open to the public.
