UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES


The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Lectures: Join us to hear from Dr. Cole as he shares from his book, The Campus Color Line: College Presidents and the Struggle for Black Freedom.

Join us for an "Evening with Dr. Eddie R. Cole " on Wednesday, November 10 at 6:00 p.m. in Auditorium 124 of the Student Union. 

Dr. Eddie R. Cole is Associate Professor of Higher Education & Organizational Change at UCLA. Dr. Cole's research focuses on college presidents' historic role in shaping racial policies & practices both inside and outside of the educational sphere. He will discuss his book, The Campus Color Line: College Presidents and the Struggle for Black Freedom. 

Cole's lecture will connect the past and present of higher education and discuss the chapter in his book focused on Ole Miss titled, "The University Has Become a Pawn: The Fight for Autonomy at a Public University."

Book signing to follow the event. Books can be purchased at the Campus Bookstore and at the event.
