On Friday, December 2nd at 7:30PM in the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, the musical forces of the University of Mississippi Chorus (Don Trott and Elizabeth Hearn, directors), LOU Symphony Orchestra (Selim Giray, director), The Mississippians Jazz Ensemble (Michael Worthy, director) and the University of Mississippi Steel Orchestra (Ricky Burkhead, director) will present their annual holiday concert. The program will include many holiday and seasonal musical favorites, both sacred and secular, but all in the spirit of a very special time of the year. “For the performers and many of our audience members, this marks the beginning of the holiday season and there is no better way to introduce the season than with traditional holiday music,” stated Dr. Don Trott, Director of Choral Activities. Trott continued, “This is the one concert during the year that we are able to collaborate and showcase multiple Music Department ensembles; it is a wonderful collaboration.”
This event is a ticketed concert, $10 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the Ford Center Box Office this week or at the door. For ticket information, call the box office at 662-915-7411.
