Start the day in the poverty simulation. Participants will take on the roles of members of up to 26 families, all facing a variety of challenging, but typical, circumstances for families in poverty. The second half of the day is a community resource fair where you learn about options to help children/students and families living in poverty.

Day 2 July 26, 2023 9:00-3:30

This day is the Community Action Network’s Poverty Simulation Facilitator Training. You will learn how to use the kit and facilitate a poverty simulation in your school, classroom, and/or community.

Free Taylor Grocery lunch provided each day.

**Please note you will not receive the Poverty Simulation Kit as part of the training.  University of Mississippi faculty and staff will have access to the kits through the School of Education.  Individuals outside the university would need to purchase the kits if they wanted to facilitate on their own.
