We are offering a viewing of the sky with out telescopes in Kennon Observatory on Sept. 24, Sunday night, 7:30-10:00 pm.
The Moon is great; Saturn is up but is best watched later in the night. Jupiter comes up at 10pm only. We’ll look at a couple of colorful double star systems (Albireo, epsilon Lyrae) and Neptune in the meantime.
At 7:30 Ms. Elizabeth Goreth offers a public talk about eclipses (see the poster).
The event is free, families are welcome.
Viewing is not possible when the sky is cloudy - if that happens we’ll have to cancel and ask everyone to come back in exact 4 weeks for another try.
