UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Books, Bans, and Bites: A Censorship Workshop

National Banned Book Week is October 1 – 7, 2023. 

Banning books has become a hot topic, and steadily more books are banned from libraries and schools each year. This workshop will dive into the history of content challenges, the nuances around conversations about responsibility and availability of content, and ways to get involved in support your local library and intellectual freedom.
