On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, Bruce Levingston, Chancellor’s Honors College Artist in Residence, will host Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jane Smiley and Eudora Welty Prize-winner and author Ethel Morgan Smith for a special discussion of their new works at Nutt Auditorium at 7:00 pm. The event will be open and free to all University of Mississippi students, staff and faculty, as well as to the public. Ethel Morgan Smith has recently published an acclaimed new work, Path to Grace: Reimagining the Civil Rights Movement. Jane Smiley has recently published a book of essays The Questions that Matter Most. Both authors will discuss their process of writing as well as what it means to be a creator, author, and artist in today’s times.
