Lunch & Learn: Data Cleanup Workshop
Data cleaning can be one of the most unexpected, frustrating, and time-consuming tasks that graduate students and researchers encounter when working with quantitative data. This workshop provides an opportunity for attendees to gain hands-on experience with unclean data and take away practices for how to prepare and transform messy data for analysis or visualization. We will demonstrate cleanup processes in Microsoft Excel and R. If you want to follow along on your own device, make sure you have access to these programs. Excel can be accessed online through Office 365. R and R Studio can be downloaded through the following links:
