From Shakespeare’s London to Faulkner’s Oxford: The Unlikely Journey of Edwin Booth’s Second Folio

Please join the Department of Archives & Special Collections as we celebrate the 400^th anniversary of the printing of William Shakespeare’s First Folio. The University’s copy of Shakespeare’s Second Folio (published only nine years later) will be on display all day. At 11:00am,Theatre Arts Professor Emerita Rhona Justice-Malloy will tell the tale of how the University of Mississippi acquired the Second Folio, owned by actor Edwin Booth.
