Textbook Affordability with Library Curriculum-Driven Acquisitions
Libraries use curriculum-driven acquisitions (CDA) as a way to reduce student's course materials cost. UM Libraries provides journal articles, video resources, and some electronic books that can be used an unlimited number of times by all students in a course. The Library can also work with instructors to identify and purchase materials not already available in the collection.
At this day-long, drop-in event, multiple librarians will be available to:
- work with instructors to understand what is available already, or can be purchased
- work with instructors on how to integrate resources into Blackboard
- discuss open scholarship (open access, open data, open educational resources) initiatives at the University of Mississippi Libraries.
If you cannot attend but would like more information, email Elizabeth Batte (ebatte@olemiss.edu) and Brian Young (bwyoung@olemiss.edu). We are available to discuss various options with faculty via email or with a face-to-face or virtual meeting.
