Come learn about biodiversity in your own backyard by participating in the SEEDS 2024 BioBlitz competition! We will have an information meeting (with pizza!) on Monday, April 22nd at 5:15 pm in 303 Shoemaker to learn how to make an iNaturalist account, join the UM SEEDS iNaturalist group, and start identifying the plants, animals, and fungi around you! The competition lasts from April 22-29, and is not exclusive to the Oxford area. We are also hosting a nature walk on April 28th at 1 pm at the South Campus Rail Trail with UM experts.
UM SEEDS, or Strategies for Ecology Education, Diversity, and Sustainability, is an official chapter of the Ecological Society of America. SEEDS works to increase opportunites in ecology for people from underrepresented groups in the sciences. We are competing with other chapters to identify the most species through iNaturalist. Come learn more!
