UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

LOU Symphony Orchestra Is Seeking String Players

 

If you play an orchestral string instrument, or have played one previously, you may be eligible for a participatory scholarship to play in LOU Symphony Orchestra.

 

About the LOU Symphony Orchestra:

· The Orchestra performs two to three concerts a semester.

· LOU Symphony rehearses on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., and string sectionals on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:00 to 12:50 p.m.

· The Orchestra performs in the beautiful Ford Center.

· The ensemble is composed of students, faculty, and community members. If interested, please contact Selim Giray at sgiray@olemiss.edu and visit symphony website at symphony.olemiss.edu.
