The University of Mississippi Libraries is hosting a Data Carpentry R programming workshop for UM researchers, faculty, and graduate students on Monday, September 9th at the Jackson Avenue Center from 9:00 - 4:30.
This full-day workshop is taught by UM Libraries faculty who are certified Carpentries instructors and will cover the Carpentries lesson Data Analysis and Visualization with R. Attendance is free, and meals and refreshments will be provided by the UM Libraries.
Workshop will cover:
- Introduction to R
- Working with data frames
- Data wrangling with dplyr
- Data wrangling with tidyr
- Data visualization with ggplot2
Workshop capacity is limited to 40 participants. Please fill out the application below, briefly describing your interest in the workshop. We will notify applicants on or before August 30th of their admittance to the workshop or placement on the waitlist.
