Dr. Santiago Giraldo (PhD, University of Chicago) is the Executive Director of the Fundación ProSierra Nevada de Santa Marta, a non-profit organization that since 1986 has protected the cultural and natural heritage of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and its surrounding areas. He is also the Colombia Director for the World Monuments Fund. Dr. Giraldo will join us on Tuesday, November 12th, at 6:00 pm in the Joseph C. Bancroft Conference Room (Croft 107) to present a talk on Postconflict peacebuilding, community development, and heritage: Lessons learned in the Buritaca River watershed, Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia. This lecture is free and open to the public.
