The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

The internationally acclaimed poet Michael Warr will read from 'The Armageddon of Funk', a collection of his poetry.Warr has been honored with a National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellowship for Poetry in addition to multiple awards and accolades. His poems have been included in many anthologies as well as the recording 'A Snake in the Heart: Poems and Music by Chicago Spoken Word Performers.'
